
One-on-one sessions // I offer private therapeutic yoga sessions to support women on their inner and healing journey. Having an individually crafted practice can be key to profound and sustainable changes.
A personalized practice will be unique based on who you are, how much time you have to dedicate to a daily practice, what your personal goals, life circumstances and current health concerns are. The tools that we can work with are breath-led movements/postures, breathing exercises, sound, Vedic chant, visualization, meditation, relaxation and texts such as the Yogasūtras for self-inquiry or guidance. I adapt these tools so that it serves you best. I may also suggest other self-care rituals to complement your daily practice.
Whether you want less pain or more mobility in your body, a calmer/clearer mind, better sleep, a way to navigate life challenges or to nurture your connection to yourself, yoga can support you with all of that. And so much more. It is meant to work on all dimensions of your being.
To get started I ask new students to commit to 3 sessions. Our first session will be an in-depth intake where I will assess where you’re coming from and what are your needs and goals. We’ll chat a lot, do some observation of your mobility & posture and start exploring some techniques. At the end of our session I’ll give you a first short practice to do at home. Ideally we meet a week later for our second session. We’ll get to discuss any questions or insights that may have come up for you and I will guide you through your practice (you’ll get a written/drawn version of it). Then our third session will be about seeing how the practice is supporting you and refining it. Following that, I suggest we meet every couple months or so -depending on your needs- so that as you move through life the practice can evolve with you.
I offer both online and in-person sessions (on Salt Spring Island).
How much? For the 3 initial sessions (the first one is 1.5 to 2 hours long and the other ones 1 hour long) : sliding scale 210-300$ (cad) //follow up 1 hour sessions: sliding scale 80-110$(cad) *Sessions can be in English or French
